Not sure if I missed this elsewhere, but just got an e-mail from the festival organisers to say the boys are playing on the above date - tickets on sale now.

Got the same email and booked in. Long time since they have been in Belfast. I thought I wouldn't be bothered since Gerry left, but as soon as I got the email I was straight in there!

Was their last Belfast gig also in the festival marquee there in Custom House Square? That's the last I remember anyway...

Pretty sure it was. Prior to that I think it was Mandela Hall for the Man Made tour. Last time I saw them was in Dublin a couple of years back. It will be different without Gerry

Sure will. But it will be good to hear some of the Norman and Raymond tunes they've dug out for the recent gigs...

Going to miss this now!! So gutted. Got dates all mixed up and am away this week. Two junior Desperados will enjoy it though and then tell me what I missed

That's too bad. Hopefully they come around again soon. Maybe a Dublin gig might be announced once this one's behind them...

So, that was great. It was the clear the guys are coming off the back of an extensive tour, as they were really sharp and in the groove.

Nice selection from across all albums, as far as I could tell. Great to hear Alcoholiday again, in particular. Start Again was another highlight and I actually thought the newer (or relatively newer) stuff was the best like Baby Lee, Darkest Part of the Night and I'm In Love - the latter, in particular, was superb. Totally nailed it, as they say on all the best (worst?) talent shows...

Don't leave it so long to come back again, fellas...
