David Bianco.

David Bianco.

I'm very sorry to say that David Bianco passed away yesterday. David produced Grand Prix and was involved in the recording of SFNB. He was an incredibly talented engineer and producer. Some of my happiest memories of the band are of his nightly mixes of the Grand Prix songs. We recorded a complete song a day and David would end the evening, rocking the mixing desk to produce these incredible mixes. He pushed for middle 8's on that record and generally pushed us to perform. He had the loveliest smile and was a very sweet guy. Our thoughts are with his wife and children at this time. Rest In Peace David.

Such sad news. He seems to have been a lovely, much loved, guy.

Hearfelt tribute there Norman, very kind words. You ( and the band ) obviously had a lot of respect for him and his work. Sounds like he knew just how to get the best from you guys too. Hopefully will be remembered fondly by all those who knew him, and had the pleasure to have worked with him.... and what a legacy, to have been involved in those glorious two albums.
... it's no easy.
